We have examined all of our activities with a view to reducing our emissions. As you’ll see from these examples, we have adopted new innovative ideas and technologies to help us, and have released many other positive benefits along the way.
Modernising our fleet reduced emissions 40%
It’s no secret that transport is one of the biggest emitting sectors in New Zealand. And, as a mobile service delivery organisation, it’s important that we travel as efficiently as possible.
Here at The Copier Company we have implemented a new modern fleet of Hybrid and PHEV vehicles that have reduced our CO2 emissions by over 40%!
Over the last 12 months, The Copier Company has modernised its fleet of vehicles to reduce CO2 emissions.
Nearly all of our diesel and petrol vehicles have been replaced with highly fuel efficient petrol / electric hybrids and battery powered PHEV’s.
This has resulted in a 40% saving in CO2 emissions.
We are committed to further reducing emissions and will continue to replace the remaining ICE vehicles over the near future.

It’s important that we can respond to your support call quickly and efficiently to get you up and running as fast as possible. Through the use of new technologies we have improved our service delivery and can now remotely:
Diagnose service issues, clear fault codes and check part lives
Add new scan and fax destinations
Setup or reconfigure printer drivers or devices network settings
Provide user training
We do love visiting clients and that is still a big part of our ethos. Providing you with great service is not just about getting things done fast, a great experience is important too.
Bulk Ordering Inwards Goods further reduces our carbon footprint
Traditionally our suppliers have dispatched products to us as and when required.
While this is great for meeting the needs of our clients and for keeping our stock holdings low, it isn’t great for the environment and results in far more logistical movements.
To help reduce our carbon footprint we have transitioned from just in time ordering to bulk ordering. This has drastically reduced the logistical movements for our incoming goods and decreasing associated CO2 emissions.
All parts and consumables are now ordered monthly reducing our order frequency to a fourth of what it previously was. It’s now common place to see large shipments in our in-wards goods area ready to be receipted.

There is nothing worse than the feeling of running out of toner when in the middle of an important job.
Traditionally devices order toner when they start getting low, but this doesn’t account for your workload and can mean that you run out when you need it the most.
Here at The Copier Company we are revolutionising toner ordering with a new proactive, intelligent toner dispatch solution.
Our solution proactively reads the devices toner levels daily and compares this to your traditional and current usage, this way we proactively send toner when you need it, rather than when the machine is getting low.
